Removing Fog with Residential & Commercial Window Repair
When windows in a home or commercial building develop a permanent fog that can't be wiped away, property owners no longer need to replace the window unit or even the glass pane.
How does the permanent fog develop inside of the insulated glass?
Over time the effects of nature take their toll on the window seal. Pressures created by changing temperatures, and especially the sun, cause the glass panels to expand and contract. This minute movement of the glass weakens and eventually ruptures the seal. Once air is able to enter during this movement of the glass it brings in moisture which creates the permanent fog.
Eventually, this moisture will stain and etch the glass, making repair impossible. So it is important that property owners seek the advice of a repair professional as soon as they notice that a window has taken on a perpetual fog.
How does Deals Glass Services repair a window pane that has already experienced seal failure?
This new moisture removal process allows our trained technicians to chemically clean in between the two layers of glass, removing the moisture that has accumulated inside the insulated glass unit. The technician then drills two small holes into opposite corners of the glass unit and installs a dual valve system. The two valves work together to allow air to move within the window pane without allowing the moisture to reenter through the ruptured seal.
